As one of the very few female chefs who runs their own restaurant and with 2 cookbooks to her name, Chef Yenni Law has gone places in her journey as a chef. She has been in the F&B industry for over 20 years, including a stint in England and Spain.

On 26 December 2004, she took over the management of Boathouse, a restaurant located at the famed nightspot strip along Lorong Rahim Kajai 14 in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

In 2014, Yenni added another feather in her cap when Boathouse emerged as a nominee for the Most Innovative Guest Experience Award by the prestigious Hospitality Asia Pacific Awards (HAPA).

Over the course of 12 years, Yenni has channelled her culinary training and passion into creating over 500 recipes of innovative original dishes for her restaurant. This passion culminated in the publication of a cookbook by MPH in 2015 by the title of Meatology, as part of the MPH Masterclass series of cookbooks. Meatology features largely meat-based recipes, even for desserts. She published her second cookbook entitled Her World Cookbook 2017 The Rice Pot in 2017, containing over 40 rice recipes, which has garnered the Gourmand World Cookbook Award 2018 for the Woman Chef category.

In July 2016, Yenni made the decision to rebrand Boathouse as Meatology, named after her first cookbook. To this day, she continues to enthrall meat lovers with delectable flavours and inventive dishes.
