Meatology may have only surfaced in Taman Tun Dr Ismail in 2016 but back in the days when it was known as Boathouse, it was the very first establishment along the famed pub street to turn dog-friendly.
The owner Chef Yenni Law said that it all began when a customer with 2 adorable-looking Schnauzer dogs walked into the restaurant and asked for permission to dine with her furkids. “Of course you may!” Law had told the customer and from that day onwards, she allowed customers to bring their furkids to dine with them at the restaurant.
Some may turn up their noses at places that allowed dogs to dine with customers on grounds of hygiene. However Law who is familiar with being a dog owner herself, remarked that dogs brought by customers to dine out are dogs which are loved and cared for; hence they are always clean and well-groomed.
Customers who choose to bring their furkids out for a meal are more often than not owner who see their dogs more than just pets but a member of their family. It is not rare to have owners seeing their dogs as their own children! Law strives to ensure that Meatology is a place where families can bond together over a quiet dinner in a cosyenivironment; thus dogs are always welcome at the restaurant.
Doggie treats are supplied by BarkeryOven which are also available at Meatology at reasonable prices. Customers may also order these for their furkids to ensure that they get a little treat too!
