Flambé, pronounced as “flahm-BAY”, is a French word meaning “flaming” or “flamed.” It involves adding liquor to food before setting it on fire. It has the terrific effect of sealing in the flavours of the dish and adds an unbeatable dramatic effect to the presentation.
